Grounds Supervisor is a Division Head and directs all phases of landscape work district-wide. The Parks Supervisor is required to be able to effectively handle, with minimal supervision, grounds personnel from hiring, training and evaluating the employees to participating in the discipline of employees. The Parks Supervisor is also required to plan and carryout landscaping jobs from sketches, plans or from general instructions given by the Parks Superintendent. This class differs from the Park Maintenance Foreman and Equipment Operator Foreman classes by the latter classes having responsibility for a crew, while the Parks Supervisor is responsible for the entire Grounds Division.Under general direction, to supervise the operations of the Grounds Division of the Parks Department, to include the supervision of landscaping, planting, repair and maintenance of park equipment, including District vehicles, grading and drainage of park areas, and overall maintenance of parks; to provide high quality customer service; and to perform related duties as required
