Hi there! My name is Chris Diaz (he/him/his) and I've been in the education field since 2011 as a math instructor, new teacher coach, and now in the consulting world working on project scopes of varying sizes with district and state partners. I have a huge passion for and strong skill development in approaching Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion practices as adaptive changes throughout all aspects of my work. I am highly skilled and trained in establishing and working in new teacher programs, math curriculum implementation and coaching, and district-wide academic strategy. I have demonstrated success in project management, staff development & onboarding, strategic prioritization, and motivating & influencing client relationships. When leading teams, relationship building plays a key role for me in setting up structures and systems for project success and I enjoy finding out what makes each member of the team and clients fulfilled outside of work. I strive to engage my team members and clients in conversations to understand their motivation and use that to drive project goals forward through a clear theory of action and vision. Because I had to hide my identity as a gay man for much of my formative years, I strive to make any space a safe one for all identities. Leading with your full self is one way I do that and so some essentials to know about me are:- I love pop music, especially Britney Spears- I have a full Harry Potter themed tattoo sleeve on my left arm- I love going to Orangetheory workouts several times a weekLooking forward to connecting!
