I combine my extensive knowledge and grasp of complex audit and accounting issues to relevant challenges and opportunities facing the insurance industry by identifying pragmatic and client centered solutions.I am currently a partner in PwC’s Deals practice responsible for advising both private equity and corporate clients on complex transactions, and specializing in providing financial reporting advice associated with acquisitions, divestitures, capital markets, insurance and reinsurance, financial instruments, and accounting conversions. I previously served as PwC’s New York Insurance Operations Leader for a team of over 300 professionals for insurance carriers and brokers. I have built a solid financial foundation with a recent two-year tour in PwC's National Office, where I provided U.S. GAAP and IFRS accounting consulting services focused primarily on the financial services industry and financial instruments. I also served two years as a Practice Fellow at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), where my focus included developing insurance contracts accounting. My calm demeanor, collaborative style, open mind as well as my thoughtful and measured approach are some of the reasons people enjoy working with me. I am an active listener that brings poise, self-confidence, and empathy to solve multifaceted problems. I am able to see situations from a 360-degree view where I contemplate numerous positions and potential consequences of issues with a full range of solutions. This unique approach, coupled with my distinguished experience, makes me a leader in high demand both inside PwC and with my insurance clients.I view myself as a world citizen as I enjoy being exposed to different cultures and am energized by new challenges of exploring the unknown. Always gravitating toward opportunities to expand my horizons, I have worked and lived in multiple geographies. My most unusual assignment was in the Cayman Islands where I not only grew my career but became a deep sea free diver. To this day, I can still hold my breath longer than most.
