Aviation Center Logistics Command (ACLC) conducts all quality assurance matters in aviation/ground maintenance related policies. Implemented a quality assurance surveillance program to ensure the quality of the contract aircraft maintenance procedures and government owned contractor operated equipment and facilities are sustained. Performed quality assurance inspections of standard and inspections on standard Army rotary wing aircraft to ensure contractor’s processes, repairs and maintenance of rotary wing aircraft systems are in accordance with contract and regulatory specifications. Examined total aircraft and equipment items, components and accessories for acceptability and suitability of repairs, replacements, modification, installation, applications and operations. Performed technical inspections of assemblies and components of aircraft to assure propriety of overhaul, repair, maintenance, compatibility and adequacy of function. Observed shop repairs, operational tests and inspection functions for approved methods, standards and compliance. Reviewed aircraft operation, maintenance, supply records and reports for occurrences and trends of malfunctions, maintenance and repairs, inefficiencies of supply/repair actions, and adequacy of record keeping. Initiated assurance reports of contractor procedural violations, inadequate maintenance and supply actions, unacceptable work methods, and housekeeping infractions. Gathered, assembled, and reported information and statistics concerning occurrences and circumstances of specific actions and situations requiring corrections and recommendations for improvements in methods, processes, procedures, and or material to resolve maintenance repair and maintenance procedures. Liaison between the maintenance contractor, external and internal organizations for stage and airfield operations. Facilitatesd aircraft scheduling between the contractor and government flight operations in accordance with all applicable directives.

Supervised and provided technical guidance to subordinate soldiers performing aircraft and subsystem maintenance and evaluates the technical training program. Evaluated maintenance operations and facilities for compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and operational policies.
