I worked for the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service as a conservationist for 15 years before attending graduate school at Iowa State University. I graduated with my Ph.D. in the summer of 2023 in Rural Sociology and Sustainable Agriculture. I am continuing my work with Dr. J. Arbuckle as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, and my current research focuses on the social and systemic factors that influence adoption of conservation practices and how we can use programs, policies, and education to increase sustainability and environmental justice in the food and agriculture system. I am currently on the job market for an assistant professor position.
