As Director of Engineering, I lead our engineering teams to drive project delivery, utility programs, decarbonization efforts, technical studies, and strategic energy management for our clients and customers. I have championed initiatives to establish best practices in resource management, engineering training, and key performance indicators, ensuring our team operates at optimal performance and effectiveness.

As the Engineering Lead, I spearheaded the technical support for our emerging technologies electrification program. I established and implemented best practices for managing engineering resources, developed comprehensive training documentation, and ensured quality control for all project deliverables.

Member of California Technical Forum (Cal TF). I've supported work as an SME in subcomittees and full meetings in commercial refrigeration, grocery, HVAC, energy modeling, prescriptive measure development, and represented the perpective of a third-party implementer related to ex-ante issues.

As Senior Engineering Director of the West, I was responsible for all aspects of engineering activities for the company's teams in the region. We supported the delivery of energy efficiency, demand response, strategic energy management, electric vehicle charging, electrification and carbon consulting support, and consulting services to our clients and customers across North America. I led strategic improvement initiatives, working with key stakeholders and team members to streamline engineering and operations processes related to technical support and to optimize engineering labor costs.

As Engineering Director of the West and Great Lakes Regions, I was responsible for all aspects of engineering activities for the company's teams in these regions. We supported the delivery of energy efficiency, demand response, strategic energy management, and consulting services to our clients across North America. Cost-effective and quality delivery of technical support to meet operational and regional goals were paramount, so I ensured best practices were in place. Bringing in diverse technical backgrounds and expertise, we were able to deliver innovative solutions to our clients and customers. I also led strategic initiatives, in collaboration with other senior management on my team and throughout the broader company, in support of driving revenue and improving employee engagement and company culture.

As Senior Engineering Manager, I was responsible for all engineering teams in the Northwest and California delivering energy efficiency and demand response program support through prescriptive, custom, and strategic energy management (SEM) projects. This work included energy audits, energy calculations, M&V, data analyses, energy modeling, and measure development of refrigeration, HVAC, lighting, and other end-uses. Verticals supported were commercial (retail, grocery, schools), industrial (food processing, beverage, oil and gas, refineries), and agricultural (wineries and dairies).

As Engineering Manager, I led a team of engineers focused on energy modeling and spreadsheet calculations for custom and prescriptive project delivery for commercial buildings, including energy audits, M&V projects, data analyses, technical program and client support, and grocery new construction. I developed and updated energy efficiency measures for utility clients in the Pacific Northwest and California to allow for more cost-effective implementation. To streamline the new construction project process in the Pacific Northwest, I established and received approval by Pacific Northwest utilities for baseline documentation for grocery stores using energy code, ASHRAE Standards, and local industry standard practices. My team also developed and maintained a proprietary grocery and commercial refrigeration audit tool that was approved by utility clients in the Pacific Northwest, California, and New England.

I supported commercial refrigeration, HVAC, and lighting energy efficiency programs through custom and prescriptive measures for utility clients in the Northwest and California. I also supported measure development and updates in the form of workpapers. I performed energy efficiency measure analyses using spreadsheet tools and software energy modeling using eQUEST, quickly expanding the company’s capabilities with respect to modeled measures.

As Maintenance Engineer, I was responsible for the reliability of all production and facility equipment. I maintained the department's maintenance budget including labor and parts inventory. I also oversaw the subcontracts we had for various maintenance services. I led our plant's implementation of a new computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), EMPAC. This required detailed asset identification, documentation, and tracking, in addition to rigorous parts inventory analysis and preventive and predictive maintenance strategy development and optimization. I was also appointed as plant Energy Champion to represent our facility, working with corporate team members, identifying cost-effective solutions for energy waste and efficiency projects.

My role was the Maintenance Planner and Scheduler for all maintenance department activities on production and facility equipment. Aside from preparing job packages for all work orders, including researching, procurement, and kitting parts needed for maintenance and repair work, it required continuous collaboration, creativity, and flexibility with stakeholders from the production team to balance getting the work safely completed with maintaining operational uptime.

I maintained, troubleshot, and repaired production and facility equipment, including pasteurization, milk filling machines, packaging equipment, blow molding machines, case and pallet handling equipment, conveying systems, forklifts, steam boilers, compressed air, HVAC, lighting, and refrigeration systems. I was able to leverage my experience working on complicated flight-safety aircraft systems, concerned with safety and departure schedules, into the fast-paced production schedule and facility maintenance environment.
