Christopher W. Rust is an Associate at The West Firm, PLLC who focuses his practice on litigation matters. Florio, Justice of the Supreme Court of New York, Appellate Division, Second Department, prior to admission to practice in New York.After graduating from Pace Law School, Mr. Rust began his practice with a well-established general practice firm in Bronx, New York, where he gained extensive personal injury and insurance defense litigation experience in all of the courts in New York City and the surrounding suburbs. Mr. Rust has worked in the areas of premises liability, elevator liability, New York Labor Law, insurance defense and subrogation, and general liability. Immediately prior to coming to work for Towne, Ryan & Partners, P.C., Mr. Rust clerked for the Honorable Judith A. Hard, Justice of the Court of Claims in Albany.Mr. Rust has extensive knowledge and experience with civil procedure, in both state and federal court, from the inception of a lawsuit through trial. He has practice experience in many New York State Courts, including all of the Courts in the metropolitan New York City area, its surrounding suburban counties, the northern counties in the Albany Capital District, and the Court of Claims, as well as the Federal District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of New York and in Superior Court in the State of Connecticut.
