Associate nurse manager for an acute geriatric psychiatric hospital.

Working in the staffing department as a medical assistant. I was responsible for covering positions in a variety of clinic settings including family practice, orthopedics, primary care and urogynecology. Responsibilities included rooming clients, obtaining vitals, updating client information into epic, specimen collection, procedure set up and injections.

Worked as a refill technician authorizing prescription refills for over 200 providers. Upon receipt of a prescription request I followed protocols to determine if prescription was available for refill.Once refill status was determined I either sent the authorization to the pharmacy or followed up with provider.

Worked in a high acuity immediate care as the lead medical assistant. I was responsible for triaging clients, rooming clients, taking vitals, venipuncture, wound care, EKG's, limited laboratory tests, sterile procedure set up, nebulizer and peak flow administration, ordering supplies, employee scheduling, ear lavage, training new employees and medical assisting students, client education and splinting.

Worked in a one physician office performing all front and back office duties. Responsibilities included: scheduling appointments, checking client into clinic, collecting payment and insurance information, rooming clients, obtaining vitals, venipuncture, autoclaving, injections, limited laboratory tests.

Worked as a medical assistant at OHSU in the CT department. Responsibilities included: Obtaining medical history, providing clients with education regarding CT exam, IV placement, scheduling exams, coordinating in patient clients CT exams with transportation and the floor staff, positioning client on the CT exam table, stocking and room turnover.

Worked as a CMA for the FNP in a busy internal medicine clinic. Responsibilities included: Rooming clients, obtaining vitals, performing EKG's, Rx refills, venipuncture, injections, ear lavage, telephone triage, medical records assistance, procedure set up and assisting the other 8 providers in the clinic.

Worked as a program counselor for the developmentally disabled.Responsibilities included: medication administration, showering clients, assisting with meals, assisting with all activities of daily living, client transportation, shopping for clients personal care items, grocery shopping, taking clients to the Dr and cleaning the care home.
