Had greater than 99% production up time for 4 different product lines. • Transferred the CATALYST® II and CATALYST® III production lines from California to Mexico as Project Lead. This included the following:o Evaluated all 88 unique tools to ensure qualifications, drawings, and associated documentation files were compliant with the established quality system.o Ensured that all tooling was coded for import into Mexico and shipped appropriately to minimize both damage to tools in shipment and import fees and taxes.o Successfully set up new production line in Mexico, wrote and executed all re-validation activities, including calibration, Installation Qualification (IQ) protocols and reports on time and within defined timeline.• Designed the layout of Cardiva’s new manufacturing facility in Mexico. This included using DraftSight to design the internal building layout (office space, cafeteria, lab, and clean room), and construction of our 25K sq. ft. facility with 5K sq. ft. clean-room.• Key member of the clean room design and construction in the new Mexican facilityo Helped evaluate parts of a used clean room o Teamed up with Materials Manager to load the clean room parts and ship to Mexico.o Supervised the staging of the components in the order they would be needed during reconstruction. This prepared the re-assembly efficiently. -
Development EngineerCardiva Medical Nov 2003 - Feb 2011Mountain View, Ca And Then Sunnyvale, CaIn collaboration with the R&D department, developed, made, and installed manufacturing tools for the catheter assembly.Collaborated in the development of fixtures that hold components in place during crimping and gluing, ensuring repeatability and efficiency of each catheter assembly process step.• Once the fixtures existed as rough models or hand sketches, used SolidWorks (3D CAD) to refine the shapes, sizes and relationships of tool parts then documented components and tools and fixtures to ASME Y 14.5. • Constructed prototypes of sub-assemblies and whole catheters and the tools to make them. • After we got the above tools installed, wrote Installation Qualification (IQ) protocols, ran the protocols, wrote the reports, and got each new manufacturing tool ready for Process Qualification (PQ). -
