Principal Project Officer
CurrentStrategic Manager providing focused strategic direction and management of the overall offender services and programs within correctional centres and community locations in an allocated operational region of Corrective Services NSW. Integral to the strategic focus is to ensure quality and equity of services in accordance with policy and procedures relating to offender management. Delivering balance to the strategic aspects of the role with ongoing management and operational demands along with implementing programs, maintaining delivery standards and optimising the effective use of resources in a challenging, dynamic and geographically dispersed environment. Key to the role is building effective relationships within operational areas that have diverse and competing needs to ensure achievement of targets pertaining to services and programs along with providing support and guidance to Services and Programs staff across the Western Sydney Metropolitan region focusing on delivery of programs and services in custody and programs in community.Since March 2020, a key strategic focus for me has been in the area of pandemic planning, providing advice relating to state wide operations for Offender Management and Programs of CSNSW as part of the CSNSW Command Post. This role requires a sound understanding of the operations of OS&P across all correctional facilities and community locations where OS&P staff deliver services and programs. The development and implementation of COVID safe operational guidelines, phased service delivery roadmap, risk management framework and multi-disciplinary risk assessment documents and service delivery recovery roadmap have been critical business deliverables whilst in the Command Post role.
