Children's Fairyland is a magical fantasy world for young children to create, imagine, play, and learn, located on the shores of Lake Merritt in Oakland. Founded in 1950, it is the first storybook theme park built in America. I have the honor of developing opportunities for children to learn through fairy tales, fantasy sets, performing arts, animal care, and related programs. Ask me how you can help!

NatureBridge provides residential hands-on science exploration in national Parks. As Director of Philanthropy I am responsible for the individual giving goals of our Golden Gate and Yosemite campuses, collaborating with the Campus Directors and their Boards in achieving their fundraising goals. In addition I supervise our Pacific Northwest and Southern California Individual Giving Officers. Activities include producing donor communications, cultivation and fundraising events; initiating donor research, strategy and solicitations; developing Board recruitment and orientation materials; and collaborating within and across departments.

* Worked with board of directors and department colleagues to raise $400,000 through annual Strong Communities Campaign; included meeting individually with board members to develop prospect lists and solicitation tactics and materials.* Supported executive directors and development staff of 14 YMCA of SF branches to reach combined annual campaign goals of $2 million. Accomplished through staff and volunteer training as well as the development and dissemination of best practices in cultivation, solicitation, stewardship and tracking.* Managed annual direct mail Kids to Camp fundraising drive. * Planned and produced donor stewardship events, collaborated on individual donor stewardship plans, ensured timely acknowledgment of donations.

* Collaborated with volunteers and staff to raise increasing amounts in individual and corporate donations for annual campaign. Responsibilities included developing campaign plan, producing training and solicitation materials, and managing donor relations.*Produced fundraising events and donor recognition and stewardship events.*Created and executed a branch marketing plan to improve member acquisition. *Edited monthly member newsletter.

Supported Executive Director and Board in fundraising and other organizational objectives. Grant writing. Managed golf tournament.
