Seasonal companies in the Oceana County area only operate for a few months in the summertime season, creating a smaller annual operating budget. Provided bookkeeping and payroll services using QuickBooks to these small companies one day per week. Results: Enabled small companies to operate on a smaller budget without outsourcing bookkeeping and payroll to accountant or purchasing and maintaining bookkeeping software. Co-managed DIY retreat. Many people want to learn DIY but need a hands-on experience. With a fellow DIY blogger, created, managed, and hosted an annual three day DIY retreat in West Virginia. Created the retreat website pages, created flyers and advertisement, maintained all financial and accounting records, created class and lodging assignments, developed menus, and created and published the retreat book.
