Issaquah, Wa

I promoted to the Issaquah branch in February to return to a daily rental position. As the AM at the branch, I am responsible for schedules and hours, planning the correct mix of vehicles in the fleet, working specialty rentals, marketing and business-business relations, and often running daily operations. Staff includes from 2-4 management trainees, 1-2 drivers, and 1-2 service agents. We operate between 250-310 cars at the office, and have one of the largest pick up areas in the group.

Seatac Airport

I was hired out of 8 candidates as an assistant manager at the Seattle-Tacoma Airport after 10 months with the company. My partner and I would work half days at the airport managing a rotating team of management trainees, Customer Service Reps, and booth personnel ranging from 12-27 people depending on the day and level of demand. Responsibilities included interacting with customers, running the check-in and return lanes, making schedules, handling large cash transactions, and constantly training new staff. As the staff continually turned over (due to a planned cyclic rotation), the manager positions were the only that stayed consistent over a long term period.

I joined ERAC as an MT, and jumped into learning the business and achieving high standards in all of the aspects of the job, including driving sales, delivering exceptional customer service, and assisting in branch operations.Sales was one of the most important aspects of the job as an MT, and from day 1 I delivered: I exceeded the company promotion goals for sales every month, and was recognized twice at the regional elite sales dinner. Customer service was the other metric of my success, and I made that a hugely important part of my day as well: of the 10 months I spent as an MT, branches I worked at beat the corporate average 9 times. Finally, operations included collecting accounts receivables, delivering cars to offsite locations, and, of course, cleaning cars. So, so many cars.

Joint Base Lewis Mcchord, Wa

I was the communications officer for a 330 member specialized chemical battalion at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. I was the supervisor for a team of 4 radio and 3 computer technicians who provided training, maintenance, and help desk services for the entire unit. I also was the lead officer for creating communication plans for future operations, purchasing all computer and communications equipment, and creating the monthly readiness report created for the Department of Defense. I also spearheaded the unit's preparation for training operations on the Korean Peninsula by working on the advance party and liaising with the local base personnel, both US and Republic of Korea forces.

I was the XO for a 130 member signal company that provided full Internet and computer network capability for field environments. I was the supervisor for all mission support sections in the company, to include the 31 member maintenance, 8 member administrative section, and 3 member supply sections. My responsibilities also included deployment preparation and execution, mission planning, tracking readiness statuses, and coordination with over 10 different on-base support organizations.

I was a platoon leader for a signal company that provided full Internet and computer network capability for field environments. I was directly responsible for all aspects of over 50 team members, to include, training, equipping, and leading them. Mission planning, personnel readiness, and providing my supervisors with accurate capability assessments were all other parts of my job.
