I am a professional communicator - my career has embraced journalism, copywriting, PR, marketing, and now teaching and coaching too. I am fascinated by people and their stories - this is why I chose a degree in psychology and have been a storyteller in different ways ever since. Communicating ideas and information clearly and appealingly is my passion. My journalistic career has included news reporting, magazine feature-writing and editing, and higher education publishing. As a freelance copywriter I'll write on most subjects but specialise in workplace issues, higher education, commercial work, well being, psychology, lifestyle features, crafts, children, education, and news.Having expanded into marketing more generally, I specialised in PR, publishing, copywriting, content production, editing, print and digital comms, social media, and storytelling. And that has led to the world of academia - teaching marketing and wider business skills as a lecturer at Harper Adams University, and offering pastoral support as a senior tutor, helping students navigate their academic and personal challenges. In the coaching world I am a qualified NLP coach, an Ollie practitioner (coaching that is especially effective with children), and am currently training as a Playing Big Facilitator with Tara Mohr, a very powerful programme for women looking to achieve their full potential.
