Key tasks, responsibilities and highlights include:• Replacement of the paper contract system with a new electronic one via the use of Adobe Echo-Sign.• Creation of a new, less admin intense, process for recruitment consultants to use when providing key information needed for freelance contracts.• Service level improvements – designed new system for providing welcome emails, updates on bank holiday payments and exit calls for freelance workers.• Problem solving and dispute resolutions. First point of contact for over 100 freelance workers when they were experiencing problems (ranging from unfair dismissal/contract suspension, HMRC/employment advice to simple timesheet queries) Often communicating across all three parties from our recruitment consultants, the freelance worker and client. • Review of incumbent payroll supply chain and formation of a new PSL; focusing on delivering a compliant supply chain with maximum commercial and service gains for both Project Resource and our freelance worker. Ongoing management of the payroll supplier PSL. • Ensure up to date knowledge of employment legislation to stay abreast of planned employment law changes – most recently IR35 for the private sector.• Minimising risk to Project Resource Limited via the creation of system to check workers VAT status has not changed.• Cross department support – Using my previous position as a recruitment consultant to assist in selling payroll solutions to clients and workers; and negotiating contract extensions when consultants were absent. Also stepping in to assist with holiday cover for the payroll team; using ETZ to load timesheets and compile the weekly pay run.
