I have multiple years of experience in rodent husbandry, breeding, and neurobehavioral analysis with a specialization in genetic models of mitochondrial dysfunction, liver diseases, and Alzheimer’s Disease. I have extensive experience with study design, as well as wet lab work, including quantitative measures of genes and proteins, in conjunction with animal care and testing. I have been involved with assessments of toxic molecules like Quaternary Ammonium Compounds, working toward educating the public on the potential dangers of those compounds. My personal research interest lies in Leigh Syndrome therapeutics, in which I am working to develop novel therapies for a severe infantile orphan disease.
