With mathematics sometimes comes a negative connotation and I want to show my students that math can be fun and relevant to their life. Students will learn the material if they want to learn the material. If they are interested and believe this material is relevant to their life, they are more apt to pay attention and try their best. I plan on doing projects with my students that will use real life situations. A teacher must always be enthusiastic and excited about mathematics, because the students will feed off of that enthusiasm and want to learn. I plan on attending educational classes and seminars throughout my teaching career so that I can be the most effective, well rounded educator possible.
