I am presently a Hospitality Professional at Chic-fil-A Georgia Street Amarillo Texas, a key role in the Chic-fil-A Operational Excellence. I was recently the general manager of a cafeteria and vending operations serving up to 3500 customers at the JBS USA beef plant located in Cactus, Texas. I managed around 27 employees, around $40,000 in supplies, and close to 50 vending machines. Previously, I was a food service supervisor overseeing the operations of the food service departments in long-term care and assisted living facilities with Baptist Community Services, a retirement community in Amarillo, Texas. I have more than 20 years experience collectively in the restaurant business, most of which was back-of-house experience in seafood, steak house, and Mexican cuisine concepts.Through retail experience and being the core representative of a food service department, I have developed customer service skills that have brought me growth in the organizations I have served.I participated in a program called “Buddy to Boss” given by Murf Systems, a professional consultant company. This year-long program greatly contributed to my leadership development.I completed Dietary Management Training, a precertification course given by University of Florida, through distance learning. This program covers functions of a food service manager, medical nutritional therapy in a healthcare environment, and professional leadership concepts. Back-of-house has been my forte; however, I have developed a “go after the customer” attitude over the years. I am willing to take on whatever is needed to assist the team in meeting its goals.
