Greg’s current focus is providing sustainable event management practices for Surfrider Foundation Eco Challenge events. Surfrider Foundation Eco Challenge Gold Coast is a family friendly, sustainable, community, surfing lifestyle fundraising event on Sunday 15th of March 2015, at Tugun SLSC, 29 O'Connor St, Tugun QLD 4224 as part of the Bleach* Festival.CWE have initiated a renewable energy installation as a legacy of holding the event through practicing sustainable event management from Climate Wave Enterprises, Surfrider Foundation Australia and MacEco Solutions. Sustainable power will help the club combat rising utility bills, run more efficiently while educating members and the Sunshine Coast community on the long term benefits.To add to the legacy for the the Club the solar installation company, Green Initiatives, is committed to helping Gold Coast residents reduce their power bills and offers good quality affordable solar systems, as a thank you Green Initiatives will donate $500 to the club for each solar system purchased by a member, friend or referral.Greg has been a passionate environmental campaigner since attending his first No Nukes Rally in 1989. As a SEA Leadership Team member for 2019 along with 20 other event sustainability experts, enthusiasts, and solutions providers together will guide this professional guild in the coming year. With global reach, a huge range of event sector representation and subject matter expertise, the information, advice, support and resources coming from the Sustainable Event Alliance to the event sector is set to flourish.

After 23 years involved with Surfrider Foundation I use my knowledge to mentor the branch and in recent times bring back the professionalism to the standard of any business.

I was in this role for 2 years which I managed over 30 branches around Australia. I also coordinated many environmental projects and liaised with our international affiliates.
