Accountability for the effective running of the division including: compliance to all company policies and procedures, Health & Safety regulations, effective communications, implementation of HR practices and maintain good working relationships with South Coast Port Services Customers. • To ensure full compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and all locally agreed safe methods of work for self and others including Company employees, customers and visitors to the site. To ensure full awareness of obligations to preserve and foster sound environmental practices.• Liaise closely with the Managing Directors and Management Team in Southampton and ensuring that the Human Resources Department is kept informed of any issues affecting staff based at the Port Skills Division.• Producing reports as requested by Managing Directors, Senior Management and Human Resources such as; customer order statistics, headcount, absence, working hours, work related accidents/incidents and training compliance. • To plan, rota and undertake ‘on-call’ duties at weekends on rotational basis within the Port Skills Team assisting with issues as and when they arise.• Ad hoc duties as and when required and as directed by the Company Directors.• Regular face to face meetings with Clients.• Daily telephone check-in with Clients.• Manage and carry out effective communications to all employees within Port Skills on necessary information.
