-Respond to project requests and proactively manage all interactions with customers and service contractors.-Connect with customers and build rapport to have a thorough understanding of their specific needs, requirements and expectations in order to achieve customer goals and service level agreements.-Provide effective and proactive communication to customer regarding status of projects, quote delivery time, and follow up responsiveness. -Review scope of work and pricing, negotiate rates and costs as necessary in effort to reduce customer costs.-Verify customer requirements have been met and approve changes on behalf of the customer when applicable. Submit recommendations and proposals to customer. -Review key metrics and performance indicator reports to identify area of focus. -Determine appropriate actions, communications and take steps necessary to continue providing exceptional service.

Book available freight in a cost effective manner.-Source and negotiate with carrier base to move available loads.-When possible pre-plan the use of carriers and equipment for efficiency.-Use TMS tool to quote LTL shipments and confirm rate quotes with carrier customer service when necessary.Build carrier relationships and source capacity.-Using phone, email and any other appropriate methods.-Use relationships and capacity to grow business.Build relationships with customer sales team.-Maintain communications with customer sales regarding changes in pick-up and delivery schedules and potential service failures.-Communicate customer problems, leads, and inquiries to the Sales Rep.-Quote customers on new lanes when requested.-Properly document orders in the TMS software.-Track/trace shipments to meet service requirements.-Aid in P.O.D. retrieval.-Clearly understand goals, policies, and procedures of XPO Logistics.-Basic understanding of LTL sector (Tariffs, Classification, FAK, Regional/National Carriers and Service Areas, etc.)-Maintain confidentiality of company information.
