As Lead UX Designer I create wireframe prototypes, oversee designers and develop responsive HTML, CSS and Javascript for client websites. Addressing pain points for clients and creating compelling project definitions that provide a vision for stakeholders and developers through the project lifecycle is where I thrive. My colleagues tell me I hit the ground running and that solving UX problems quickly and effectively is my magic power!Taking the lead in discovery activities I am responsible for merging workshop artifacts, competitive analysis and requirements into an interactive prototype. In sprint meetings I lead presentations of prototype iterations to clients, gathering then incorporating feedback. I collaborate actively with project management, visual designers and development teams. Throughout, I am an advocate for the user, shaping and leading with the goal of creating a great user experience.Good design is not just what is included, but what is left out. When I can see care taken by someone else in the creation of my experience, it is genuinely moving.Non-work interests:A lot of my life has revolved around surfing. I have traveled extensively to surf great waves. I don't expect I will ever get tired of seeing new swell come in.When I started surfing it was natural for me to fix my own boards. This led to shaping and glassing. Skip Frye and Donald Takayama are my big inspirations.In Mexico, I designed, engineered and built a beautiful desert home.I love to paint and draw.
