Primary duty is the year-round recruitment of high school players,including traveling to prospective games/events, phone calls, and letters to both coaches and players, and completes necessary compliance paperwork with regard to recruiting. Maintain knowledge of offensive and defensive coaching strategies. Assist with pre/post workouts. Teach basketball fundamentals to players at coaching clinics. Represent Catawba Valley in a professional manner. Provides mentorship to the players while displaying servant leadership on campus and throughout the community.

Completion of this military education level is a promotion discriminator for Lieutenant Colonel (LTC). Phase II is conducted at local reserve units one weekend each month. PH-II mission is to educate and train intermediate-level Army, international, and sister-service officers, and in some cases interagency leaders, and prepare them to operate as field-grade commanders and staff officers in full-spectrum Army, joint, interagency, and multinational environments. ILE provides both common core and functional area (FA) professional military education to all Army Majors.

Senior Logistics Officer U.S Forces at Kandahar Airfield (KAF), Afghanistan. A NATO base consisting of Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, Marines, Coalition Forces, DoD Civilians, and Contractors supporting combat operations throughout Regional Command South and West. Responsible for logistical support, including managing Billeting IAW Force Flow. Exercises staff supervision of the production, acquisition, receipt, storage and preservation, issue, and distribution of equipment, repair parts, construction materiel, subsistence and general supplies for KAF base operations. Provide supervision of a staff of NCOs, improving the waste management process for KAF, and initiate relationships with NAMSA, USFOR-A, LOGCAP, DynCorp, COMKAF, and Regional Command - South (RC-S) that positively affect life support commodities (water, fuel, food).
