I am a senior policy analyst at The Council of State Governments' Southern Office (CSG South). In this nonpartisan role, I support state legislators across the South with timely policy analyses, public testimony, coordinated programmatic events, informative policy publications, and comparative legislative research. Additionally, I serve as the liaison to two standing CSG South committees – the Education Committee and the Fiscal Affairs & Government Operations Committee – wherein I am responsible for coordinating topical programmatic events, legislative delegations, and strengthening legislative relationships. Prior to joining CSG South, I spent nearly six years in legal research, writing, and administration. I also volunteer with the Smithsonian's Digital Transcription Center and am an American Association of Public Administration Professionals member. Additionally, I am a 2024 EDUSAFE AI Alliance Catalyst Fellow and 2023-2024 cohort member of the Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy Certificate in Education Finance.Originally from Lakeland, Florida, I earned a bachelor's degree with a dual major in History and International Affairs from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, and currently reside in Atlanta, Georgia, where I am an M.Ed. student at the University of Georgia's Mary Frances Early College of Education focused on education administration and policy as well as the college's Graduate Interdisciplinary Certificate in Education Law and Policy at the University of Georgia.
