Express Shuttle is owned by Canyon Transportation and provides transportation between the Salt Lake International Airport and hotels, homes, businesses and schools within a 60-mile radius of the airport. My job duties included dispatch management, owner operator recruiting, company driver recruiting, onboard training, driver development, DOT compliance including driver qualification files, scheduling and managing the day to day operations.

Managed a fleet of 7 semi trucks and 7 over the road drivers that transported high value freight across the United States. It was my responsibility to acquire new freight business and maintain the current business relationships. It was also my duty to oversee and ensure safe and prompt, on-time delivery of all freight transported by Silly Monkey Trucking. My day to day primary focus was complex logistic planning of freight routes, while maintaining the lowest possible operating costs with maximum efficiency and safety. Other areas of focus included processing vendor relationship management, load documents, payroll, employee reimbursements, invoices, bank deposits, use tax reporting, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, and state DOT compliance.
