Case Manager
CurrentAs a Case Manager in the Life Insurance New Business at Ash Brokerage, this position serves as a liaison between relationship case managers and insurance carriers to expedite the application and issue process for life insurance applications. My main responsibilities include: -Monitoring progress of cases, facilitating the procurement of outstanding requirements and providing ongoing status to Agents and Carriers. -Serving as a liaison between agents and insurance carriers. -Administering "pre-underwriting" functions including application management, informal file reviews and managing questions from Agents on potential clients. -Identifying issues which may impede the issuance of the policy. Based on assessment and on knowledge of practices of individual carriers Electronic Processing and requirements, and contacting internal and/or carrier underwriting staff to confirm the validity of issues. -Based on age, face amount, application type, and individual carrier guidelines, ordering initial requirements on behalf of the agent/broker. -Locating any missing or needed documents inside the case. Having them sent Electronically to the needed parities for signatures, and then sent over to the carrier to process.
