About YGAMYgam is an award-winning charity with a social purpose to inform, educate, and safeguard young people against gaming and gambling harms.About MeBy the time I left college, I knew that I had a passion for two things: life-long learning and connecting with people. With both of my parents being teachers with a combined service of 80+ years, it was inevitable that I would be cut from the same cloth. As I got older and gained more experience, I knew that I wanted to bring my teaching skills to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Since then, I’ve been working to bring engaging, exciting lessons to pupils who need them most. In addition to the in-person classroom environment, I quickly developed a love of online teaching throughout the several lockdowns we endured. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to give immediate, tailored feedback. To my surprise, I also excelled at delivering recorded and live lessons and my knowledge for different online applications (such as Google Suite) grew exponentially. Since September 2022, my role has been the Training & Engagement Manager for Yorkshire and Humberside region, using my background in education to deliver informative and engaging workshops across the region. I continue to feel passionate about supporting and educating others for the same reasons that initially inspired me when I was a child: life-long learning and people.
