Our goal is to bring these new technological solutions to businesses that can benefit from real-time geospatial services. We provide information to businesses that rely on GIS and remote sensing data to make important decisions. Through our services we can improve stock pile accounting, bidding, and save a business time and money by providing detailed accurate information about their project or site. We are working with surveying, engineering, construction, excavation and mining industries.

Austin, Texas Area

Using the extensive inventory of oil and gas well logs from the Bureau of Economic Geology for the purposes of characterizing potential geothermal resources across the entire state of Texas. Coupling ArcGIS and Petra to conduct detailed subsurface investigations on formation properties, temperatures, and areal extent provided a novel methodology for studying geothermal resources in deep sediments (GRIDS). Net sand maps were generated in Petra using isotherms to identify the most economical geothermal fairways in the state. I managed a team of other researchers to conduct similar studies in other regions of the state. This information was eventually compiled and submitted to the National Geothermal Data System where it is publicly available in hopes of spurring geothermal energy development.

Austin, Texas Area

GeoPower Texas, based in Austin, aimed to develop the first commercial geothermal power plant in the state of Texas. Focused on geopressure-geothermal resources in Brazoria and Matagorda Counties along the Texas Gulf Coast. Generated reports and maps for meetings with investors, engineering firms, drilling companies, and piping companies. Organized leases, contracts, and legal documents for meetings with city planners.
