Produced and disseminated meteorological and oceanographic products directly supporting the Admiral of United States Fleet Forces and subordinate commands.• Generated and delivered 3,100 meteorological and oceanographic products, 640 tropical cyclone updates, and presented over 500 Four-Star level briefs to military commanders, ensuring safety of navigation for naval assets and personnel worldwide.• Formulated 75 complex tropical weather outlooks during the 2018-2021 hurricane seasons, allowing decision makers to utilize naval assets safely in the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean basins.• Collaborated with Fleet Weather Center Norfolk to ensure the safety of the U.S. Fleet from 12 landfalling hurricanes along the Gulf and East Coasts. Produced and disseminated meteorological and oceanographic weather services supporting U.S. military air and surface assets worldwide.Maritime Forecaster:• Generated and delivered 410 accurate and timely tailored ship routing forecasts in support of U.S. military and civilian merchant vessels, directly contributing to the safety of navigation.• Collaborated with senior meteorologists to co-create 15 ship divert recommendations and 30 ship advisories due to hazardous winds and seas along customers' track. Alternate track recommendations resulted in safe navigation to customers' destinations.• Assessed and analyzed current meteorological data to produce 190 surface analyses for the northern and southern hemispheres. Synoptic weather systems and areas of heavy winds and seas were annotated, providing U.S. naval forces with the latest hazardous areas. Aviation Forecaster:• Developed and delivered 390 Flight Weather Briefs (DD 175-1's) supporting U.S. Navy and Air Force aircraft assets totaling $18 billion. Tailored flight forecasts included flight-level winds, hazardous weather, turbulence/icing, cloud cover and ceilings, AIRMETs and SIGMETs, visibility restrictions, and local warnings/advisories at takeoff and landing locations. • Produced and disseminated 45 airfield weather warnings and advisories, and 215 Terminal Aerodrome Forecasts (TAF's) in support of 15 naval installations across the western United States, directly contributing to the safety of flight navigation.• Led over 70 hours of meteorological and oceanographic training, resulting in the successful completion of 5 Maritime and Aviation Forecaster qualifications. • Completed the Surface Weather Observer qualification, providing the ability to use and operate the Automated Surface Observation System (ASOS) utilized for data acquisition.
