I am a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps where I primarily served as a Field Radio Operator. After graduating high School at Southaven High School, I left to serve my country as a United States Marine. I attended basic training at Parris Island, SC where I truly became the man and leader I am today. Upon graduation, I was stationed aboard Camp Pendleton, CA with 3D LAAD BN as a Field Radio Operator. I served as a battery NCO and trainer during my time here. A few short years later, I was deployed to Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba with the Marine Corps Security Force Company. During my time aboard, I was promoted through the ranks to Sergeant. I served in several positions during this time which ranged from Data Chief, Training NCO and Field Radio Operator. I worked strategically with my fellow Marines and command during this time to create and execute an inclement weather communications plan for the fence line perimeter detail. Outside of my normal duties, I installed computers, managed email groups and installed software. I was tasked with an additional duty of providing common access card encryption for Marines aboard Guantanamo Bay to access the computer network system. I was provided with a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for the work completed outside of my normal duties during this time. While aboard Guantanamo Bay, I learned that there wasn’t much to do due to the remote location. This is where I began scuba diving at the instruction of PADI Instructors at the base. I completed four scuba courses and am now a PADI Divemaster. After my honorable discharge from the military, I returned home to serve my community in Law Enforcement. I was privileged to be hired and sent to the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers Training Academy by the Southaven Police Department. I returned from training and became quickly involved in critical incidents at work. After two and a half years, I met my wife and later decided to take an opportunity at a new agency. From 2016 through 2024, I served my community as a law enforcement officer. During this time, I obtained 5 instructor level certifications, allowing me to instruct thousands of law enforcement officers. In August of 2024, I began working as a physical security manager in the dangerous climate of Memphis, TN, for The J. M. Smucker Company where I enjoy serving the company by protecting our employees and guests.
