Ceres Community Project is a non-profit organization that mentors teen chefs and gardeners to grow and cook organic food for people facing a chronic illness. The Temporary Kitchen Assistant works as part of a team responsible for packaging all meals and preparing bags for deliveries to clients, as well as prepping vegetables, cleaning, and keeping a well-maintained kitchen. The KA position supports the Associate Chefs by providing consistency across all shifts in food safety and quality, facilitating positive relationships with staff and volunteers, mentoring new teenage volunteers, and contributing to the efficient production of all meals by performing any task necessary in the kitchen.
