Functioning as a released patient care provider at the advanced emergency medical technician (AEMT) level and as a firefighter.Also serving as the Public Information Officer (PIO) and as a Field Training Officer.

The Deputy Chief role supervises three lieutenant positions. The Deputy Chief serves as the second in command and reports weekly to the Chief.The Deputy Chief position is responsible for ensuring daily operational capability of the agency. The position also serves as the Director of Quality Assurance/Improvement.

Organized and taught AHA BLS Provider CPR classes for members of the public.Also organized AHA BLS Provider CPR recertification classes for EMS personnel.
