• What started out as a loose co-op of web creatives turned into a small digital agency that we call our own. Working with Brian McNabb and Matt Owen, we worked with clients to create unique brand experiences on the web.
• Designed CartoCMS, a ruby-based content management system for managing dynamic site content
• Led all client acquisition efforts including project pitching and the development of RFP responses, marketing collateral, and other pitch materials
• Worked with clients to develop targeted messaging for both internal and external use. These include taglines, corporate strategies, marketing collateral, and web-copy
• Directed the branding and web-development initiatives for NYC Collaborates, while also serving as copywriter and web-designer on the project

• With expertise in copywriting, editing, communications strategy, account services, graphic design and web-development, my experience extends to nearly every level of the branding and digital marketing process
• Worked with the NYC Charter Center to write and design magazine ads, banners, and event flyers aimed at promoting charter schools to the general public
• Developed an iterative approach for producing marketing collateral for a global consulting firm, while producing solution boilerplate for use in sales materials, client presentations, and RFP responses
• Served as the sole designer, web developer, and social media strategist in the web and branding initiatives of a small-scale single-issue publication. Over the course of two days, the site received over 40,000 hits and.

• TourAutomator sought to get more bands on the road through the development of web-based tools for booking gigs, finding receptive audiences, and making better financial decisions.Why it failed:
• Overemphasised design and user experience during early stages of development.
• Failed to clearly define the role and expectations for the technical co-founder.
• Underestimated the hurdles associated with developing an app while simultaneously learning to program.Things I learned:
• Frontend web development including HTML/haml, CSS/sass, jQuery/javascript
• UI / UX design, and how to tell stories that inspire people
