Appointed Quarry Manager at Hendre Quarry, overseeing:- the delivery of 1,000,000 tonnes + of limestone to major infrastructure projects across the country.- the management and development of 16 direct staff members- the safe supervision of a large number of local contractors- a multi million pound muckshifting and development operation- management of all drilling and blasting activities on siteWorking alongside the Tarmac Engineering and Operation team in 2019, I directed the safe installation and commissioning of a multi million pound primary crushing and screening plant, alongside the quarries regular activities to ensure the delivery of significant production volumes. Following the plant installation I have worked closely with mechanical and electrical contractors to improve the short interval control and throughput of the crushing plant, and have worked to optimise the fleet performance.

North Wales

Assistant Manager based at Hendre Quarry, the principal hard rock quarry in the North West Sector. Jointly responsible for managing one of the largest budgets within the sector, and overseeing the safe production and distribution of up 1 million tonnes of limestone per year, across the country. Directly managing a team of 20; including operators, administrators and supervisors and organising and implementing safety measures and procedures on a daily basis.Whilst based at Hendre Quarry I also helped manage Pant Asphalt, also located in North Wales. Liaising and communicating with the Pant team to organise maintenance requirements and effectively utilise staff across the patch.

Hendre Quarry

Assistant Manager, currently working at Hendre Quarry. Responsibilities include supporting the management and supervision team on site, driving high health and safety standards and ensuring the fluid operations of the Quarry whilst delivering sales and production targets on a daily basis. This role requires effective leadership and a strong analytical skillset.

After completing the graduate scheme, I joined the company in a fixed role as Production Supervisor for the Manchester area. I began my time managing three of the busiest Ready mix plants in the North-West and after a year had a further two plants introduced to the patch. This position required intrepid flexibility as challenges could develop at a number of sites at any given opportunity. The safe management of production and the delivery across one of the busiest and most demanding cites in the UK remained my priority throughout my time as Production Supervisor.

Joined the company in a training role, spending time in a number of roles within the Ready-mix business. This included time as a Plant supervisor where I was responsible for production output and the safe management of the plant processes. I also spent time with the commercial team where I strengthened a number of working customer relationships. I spent this training period working closely with a number of different teams and faced a variety of challenges.

North West

I led a small team of operatives after passing a supervisor topman course. Helped to prepare areas and sites for demolition. Responsibilities included gathering and and enabling a team of men ensuring they were fully aware of any safety challenges they may face on site whilst also performing any relevant risk assessments. Other challenges included supervising the team and delegating positions to help complete the task in the safest and most effective means possible.
