First and foremost, I'm a freckled, redhead. That means I come from rare genes, so rare that we are facing extinction (according to the Internet). My hair color has lent itself to both success and failure in my life, and it has forced me to learn and relearn valuable lessons over the years.During my professional adventure, I've discovered how to:• Motivate myself and others. • Major on the majors, and minor on the minors.• Survive by creatively solving complex business problems, every single day. • Serve, even when leading. • Be comfortable with discomfort, then help others get there.• Identify and nurture top-notch talent.• Present & teach well in public forums. • Cultivate & help carry a culture that people crave to be a part of (even through acquisition & change).• Strategically develop and [more importantly] deliver on a product roadmap.• Balance time, scope & resources to create a solution that clients actually want • Prioritize...then focus...then focus some more.• Appreciate & strategically leverage technology. • Avoid ultraviolet rays (sorry...I had to say it).Above all, I’ve learned that we cannot accomplish great things as individuals. Period. However, the possibilities are endless when a group of diverse, inspired people focus on collaboration and commit to cohesively pursue a dream together.
