As Principal I serve as the educational leader, while yet working collaboratively with my peers and other stakeholders to achieve academic excellence. Promoting a safe learning environment and communicating effectively with parents are among my strengths. I am responsible for ensuring that federal, state, and district policies are adhered to within my building. Inherent in the position are the responsibilities for scheduling, curriculum development, extracurricular activities, personnel management, emergency procedures, and facility operations.

As Instructional Facilitator I was afforded the opportunity to facilitate continuous improvement in classroom instruction by providing instructional support to teachers in the elements of research-based instruction and by demonstrating the alignment of instruction with curriculum standards and assessments tools; develops instructional strategies; developed and implemented training; chose standards-based instructional materials; provided teachers with an understanding of current research; integrated technology into instruction; assisted in the implementation of the components of the Tennessee School Improvement Plan (TSIP).

Planned, organized, and implemented an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guided and encouraged students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
