Within this roll I was part of a team dealing with domestic customer queries. I then switched over to the business team dealing with commercial accounts instead, this involved a deeper dive into how meters work and training to be a smart metering expert within my team. My duties are as follows: - Taking calls and managing customer queries through email- Having ownership of customer issues and seeing them through until resolution- Triaging and solving problems smart meters, ideally bringing them back to functionality- Remotely commissioning smart meters- Going through billing history and amending it appropriately, an eye for detail is useful here as customers could be charged incorrectly so this would need to be fixed- Advising customers generally, whether this is about government guidelines for discounts they were entitled to or instructing them on how to complete tests for a further investigation of an ongoing issue

In this role I was part of a product support team who work to troubleshoot with installers on issues relating to access products. I worked hands on with access and security products and technology throughout my time at Paxton. My main responsibilities included:- Delivering accurate technical product support to installers or customers via phone, email, or webchat- Handling any sales or returns process requests- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving installation issues in a timely manner- Working closely with other teams within Paxton to trial and test new products or features

The Old Albion is a Gin focused pub based in Hove; my duties included:- Assisting the manager to ensure the business was run to a high standard, maintaining COVID related restrictions during the pandemic. This included crowd management, garden noise levels and the overall guest experience, ensuring that even with restrictions, our service was always exceptional- Cellar management, ensuring the cellar was kept to a high standard, line clean, stock rotation and managing deliveries- Opening and closing the business, cashing up, daily business checks in line with health and safety- Managing stocks to ensure minimal wastage

Idle Hands was a small pub which had a large range of craft beer and live music rotating weekly. I would often run busy Saturday nights by myself, maintaining high standards of service to all customers and the atmosphere within the venue.

The Grand Central is where I have learnt a lot about customer service and the hospitality industry. My role was to run The Nightingale Room, which was their main function room. I also learned how to manage the cellar, and we were awarded with the Master Cellarman award from Fullers.
