About Corey Phillips
A current Junior at the University of Florida studying Computer Science with an interest in systems programming and software engineering. My current research into image recognition techniques and applications provides me not only with a concrete understanding of the most popular Python libraries, but also of important machine learning concepts that will only become more important as technology evolves. Beyond my research, I have been a Peer Mentor for multiple classes at the University of Florida. This includes my current role as a Peer Mentor for UF's Operating Systems course, where I guide students through advanced technical concepts very close to the fundamentals of what makes a computer work, including drivers, the kernel space, and Linux sorce code. In all environments, my best skill my my adaptability; I love to learn new information and bring new concepts into existing frameworks. I'm interested in any beginner-level Software Engineering/Development roles that promise to provide learning, the opportunity to share new ideas, and plenty of personal growth. Want to connect?
