Originally from Lander, Wyoming, I moved to Northern Nevada in the mid-1980s’. I grew up in the Minden area, and am a Douglas High School graduate. Upon graduating Douglas, I moved to Phoenix, Arizona to attend a professional automotive, truck, and equipment repair school, where I received my first college associates degree. I entered the workforce in 2004 in the public sector, working for Douglas County in the Fleet Services division; where I mostly serviced and repaired fire & police vehicles and equipment. While working for Douglas County, I attended Western Nevada College to get a head-start on my Business Management degree, and received my second associates’ degree in the meantime. In 2008 I made big changes by switching both my job and my school to further my professional career and my education. I enjoy working for the State of Nevada with the Nevada Division of Forestry as an area fleet maintenance supervisor; where I oversee the fleet maintenance budget, fleet inventory, purchasing, maintenance, and repairs of our regional fleet vehicles used in fire suppression and forest conservation activities. In the meantime, I am a Business Management major at the University of Nevada Reno’s College of Business, where I am looking to capitalize on my invest in education by advancing my career within the State of Nevada. In my free time, I enjoy camping, wakeboarding behind my ski boat, hiking, league bowling, and spending time with my new puppy.
