The incumbent serves as an Electronics Technician performing highly specialized technical work associated with analyzing, designing, developing, installing, repairing, fabricating, maintaining, modifying, or evaluating the most complex systems for which USAF, FAA, & NWS are responsible. This includes STARS-AN/FSQ-204, NEXRADWSD-88D, MSSR, FCS-127 ETVS, GRC, GRT, GRR, CM-300, URC-200 Radio Systems, DASR-AN/GPN-30, FCS127 ETVS, ILS, TACAN, and GSH-74 DALR. Plans, coordinates and performs work with a high degree of independence keeping the manager informed of significant problem areas. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of integrated systems to deal with unusual problems. Independently evaluates the functional status of systems and facilities. Performs multiple, varying, and complex projects. Applies experience and technical knowledge to review installation designs and specifications, prepare material take-off lists. Manage project logistics, purchase materials determines, and implements construction methods. Evaluates and prepares risk mitigation plans, installs/constructs/integrates equipment and systems, complies with safety procedures, tests, and troubleshoots issues, coordinates activities with stakeholders. Interpret technical documents, drawings, and plans, to identify and correct deficiencies. Analyze standard engineering problems to identify future technical capability for projects. Utilizes technique of wide range of state-of-the-art analog and digital test instruments. Troubleshoots with appropriate procedures and techniques required for the job. Interpret engineering/ architectural plans and specifications, having knowledge of certain materials and equipment used to perform each job. Trained 13 active-duty Air force personal ranking from (E-2 to E-6) on radar and other airfield equipment tasks.

Performs aircraft Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic (EISM) functions and activities. Troubleshoots, inspects, removes, installs, repairs, modifies, overhauls, and operates aircraft EISM systems, components, and associated support equipment. ESIM systems include: (VHF/UHF.HF, SATCOMM), radar, navigation, displays, identify friend or foe (IFF), enhanced traffic alert and collision avoidance system (TCAS), engine indicators, flight control systems, flight instruments, miscellaneous instruments, INS/GPS, fuel management systems, pitot-static systems, flight recording systems. Inspects and evaluates aircraft EISM maintenance activities. Determines operational status of assigned assets. Knowledge is mandatory of electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles relating to EISM systems; concepts and application of maintenance directives; the meaning of symbols used in wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics; and proper handling, use, and disposal of hazardous waste and materials. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements within available resources.

The night shift supervisor and avionics collateral duty inspector include training up to 8 personnel on shop objectives while ensuring that work, attendances, assignments, and schedules are being met. Provide maintenance on aviation electronics systems, which included communications, radar, navigation, electronic warfare, data link, and tactical displays with associated equipment. Performed release and control checks as a Team leader and, Team member ensuring aircraft ordnance systems were operational for missions.
