As a member of the Global Problem Management Team my primary responsibility was managing mission and business critical service outages that occur in the US or Singapore Business Datacenter. When an outage occurred, it is was my responsibility to coordinate with various team members from the Data Centers to restore the service in a timely manner. This included working with various team members on a conference call to troubleshoot and resolve the service outage. After a service outage or Sev1 event occurred, I followed-up on the outage by doing a root cause analysis that included a description of the problem, root cause of the outage, and ensured preventive measures were in place to prevent the outage from occurring again. Other responsibilities included applying the 8D methodology on troublesome applications with a repeating issue, maintaining daily service availability metrics, and working other incidents not categorized as a mission or business critical service.

I worked as an application administrator for the monitoring, capacity, and performance team. My primary responsibilities included HP SiteScope, VMware VCOPS, and Uptime monitoring administration. This included upgrading and maintaining HP SiteScope software, as well as working with database and application administrators to create and maintain monitors for mission and business critical applications. Other administrative duties included assisting team members with HP Operations Manager, Uptime availability monitoring, and Solarwinds Storage Manager.
