I was responsible for the inspection and disposition of incoming, in-process, first article, and finished goods including the following: Plastic housings (injection molded), electrical contacts (cold formed, stamped, and screw machined), springs (stamped) and related hardware and assemblies.I interfaced regularly with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and inventory control in order to establish priorities and facilitate the timely shipment of product.I would coordinate with engineering to identify critical inspection parameters for new product, determine appropriate inspection methods, and create in-process inspection documents for use by vendors, internal and external manufacturing facilities in Europe and Asia.Perform internal audits of ISO documentation and procedures.Proficient in the use of gauge pins, calipers, drop indicators, micrometers, optical comparators, tensile strength testing, plating thickness x-ray testing, and custom inspection fixtures.Certified in Plastic Joining Technologies, from Branson Ultrasonic’s in 2002-2003I believe that hard work, and attention to detail is fundamental, to my success as well as that of my co-workers, and the company whom I serve.
