• Contract consulting for network solutions with a specific focus on Hospitality and large venue event services. Leveraging over a decade in Hospitality and IT specific experience.• Consulting labor and engineering services for Hospitality venues for BYOD environments – from limited service lodging, convention venue hotels and large convention center event services.• Strong focus on large density and volume wireless engineering for events and property patrons – using latest in technology from vendors in Cisco, Ruckus, Aruba (and more). Specific focus on engineering, development and management for mobile and tablet devices.• Knowledge of various brand specific property management systems (PMS) and point of sale systems (POS) and integration with network infrastructure and interoperability with back of house and patron/public network services.

• Managed network service, product and project manager for hospitality network solution needs for convention hotel properties. Primary contact for property partners and convention coordinators for all HSIA and network solution needs. Responsible for North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Florida and Caribbean. • Daily responsibilities include Sales generation through property group listings, internal customers, local and repeat business. Cold and hot lead calls for client HSIA and networking needs for convention setup and attendee use. Daily maintenance and troubleshooting for in-house clients and ISP provider to property. Billing reconciliation with property, clients and corporate accounting at conclusion of events.• Ensure the overall stability of the technology environment so acceptable service levels are maintained for property and event clients in regard to network access. Participate in the development and implementation of a formal change and problem management process that will support network event and property solutions.• Design, install, maintain and removal of client network solutions from simple LAN connections to multiple LAN/WLAN connectivity. Also WAN/VPN integration into property infrastructure for corporate connectivity via LAN environment. Simple, complex and multiple LAN environment design and maintenance with use of multiple VLAN configurations, via router and managed layer 3 switch programming.• Project Management – including site surveys, system engineering, integration, BOQ, BOM, SOW and installation(s).• Direct report supervisor to team members – training, job responsibility assignments and performance reviews.• Secondary duties include training of new account manager staff, new property deployment, SOP development, peer review of current and future technology service offerings and system integration deployment.

• Responsible for network security and monitoring using tools such as Solarwinds, SmartLog and others for networks as small as a few users to networks with thousands of users using various types of firewalls, routers, operating systems, switches (managed/unmanaged), servers, VPN software and other equipment.• Use of 50 plus VLAN’s for various client needs consisting of rate limiting, static and DHCP IP addressing and heavy IP manipulation/subnetting experience. Custom network creation with bandwidth ranges from dial-up to DS3 speed.• Assisted in coordinating, installing and maintaining, one of the nation’s largest wireless network consisting of 550 Cisco Aironet 1200 AP’s and 16 possible VLAN’s to cover the convention center’s 7 million square feet of exhibit floor, meeting rooms and common/administration area space.• Knowledge of VoIP, both hardline and wireless, technology and integration into Avaya PBX switch system. • Extensive experience in operation of Cisco network equipment (catalyst/LAN switches, core blade systems, routers and access points) as Smart City is a Cisco Certified Powered House/Network.• Responsible for daily supervision and delegation of duties to a staff of up to 15 technicians; with job duties consisting of maintenance of building infrastructure (fiber optic and copper cabling), voice and data connectivity and troubleshooting and constant convention show network design, installation and monitoring for several shows that range in size from a few hundred to a few thousand attendees.• Directly responsible for operational planning of events and all related telecommunication needs, troubleshooting, problems and solutions.• Responsible for assignment of employees’ work loads and completion to company and county standards, as well as all disciplinary actions, if needed.
