First commander of a newly formed Forward Support Medical Platoon (FSMP), overall responsible for mission success and the training/ readiness of 30 Soldiers utilizing three UH-60 Medical Evacuation helicopters. Ensure aircrew are postured to maintain 24 hour Medevac coverage, taking off within 15 minutes of notification and providing en-route critical care. Responsible for training and operations for an aviation task force in a deployed environment supporting a NATO mission and US national security objectives. Coordinate activities in a dynamic flight environment with over a dozen allied militaries as well as UN/ NATO/ host-country organizations. First line leader for a UH-60 company with five aircraft. Provide guidance and direction for operations personnel, aviators, non-rated crew members, aviation maintenance and fuel professionals.
