Copenhagen Area, Denmark

Maersk Drilling is a drilling rig operator based in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is a subsidiary of the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group. The company owns 26 drilling rigs including six ultra-harsh environment jack-ups, six further jack-ups, four semi-submersibles and 10 drilling barge rigs. In the North Sea, Maersk Drilling operates the world's largest and most advanced harsh-environment jack-up rigs, the sister rigs Maersk Innovator and Maersk Inspirer operate at water depths up to 150m (490 ft).As Senior Director for for Quality Management and Health, Safety, Security and Environment (QM HSSE), I led a team of 24 specialists operating globally. My remit was to drive for continuous improvement and maintain the company's leading position in the areas of QM, HSSE, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Auditing. This involved analysis of performance and development of corporate policies, strategies, tactics, procedures and work instructions. I owned and maintained all related key IT applications, developed and deployed integrated improvement programmes based on industry best practice. Additionally, I established and maintained effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the various businesses in Maersk, the regulators, the industry at large and our customers.

Via my experience in Senior Leadership positions in the oil and gas industry across the globe ranging from on- and offshore operations, defining processes, setting standards, auditing and benchmarking, I provided my clients with best practice in crisis management, business contingency, continuity planning and emergency response.

As Global Manager for Process Safety Assurance, I established a team of six specialists to provide enhanced oversight to the Executive Committee and the Board across all RDS businesses on Technical Integrity and Process Safety. During my time in this role, I conducted 24 risk assessments across the globe of key Oil and Gas Producing Assets, Refineries, LNG, distribution and Petrochemical plants. As a team, we acted as a safe haven in terms of guidance and support to the Shell businesses. I also established a Process Safety Council to drive Process Safety Standardisation and knowledge sharing across the entire Shell portfolio.

As Vice President of Production Engineering for Shell E&P, I led a team 26.I established the E&P Production Engineering Functional organisation covering Operations, Maintenance and Integrity, Production Technology, Production Chemistry and Logistics. The main objective was to drive improvements across the business and establish the Production Leadership organisation. This included driving global performance improvement programmes, setting functional standards, IT systems, ensuring that the right people were assigned to the best position for their skill sets and team career development programmes, .During my time in this role, I led the development of the company's standard Global Processes, Minimum Standards, Competency Standards and Guides. This included Operations Readiness, Integrated Activity Planning, Benchmarking, Maintenance and Inspection, Production Chemistry, Logistics and Hydrocarbon Accounting and Allocation. I also managed the rationalisation and globalisation of the Production IT portfolio and delivered bottom-line improvements via deployment of Global Delivery Teams. Additionally, I established the company-wide Operational Excellence programme to raise performance levels to the top-quartile in the business with demonstrable results.

Shell China Exploration and Production Company Ltd. explores, extracts, and develops oil, gas, and chemical products. The Company develops oil fields for the production of engine oils, synthetic, semi-synthetic, and mineral oils. Shell China Exploration and Production extracts oil and gas internationally and distributes petroleum and natural gas throughout the world.As HSE Manager East-to-West Pipeline Project, I organised Environmental Impact Assessments, EP HSE-MS audit and recruited the HSE organisation including a replacement HSE manager.Whilst retaining the responsibility as Services Manager in Brunei Shell Petroleum, I took on the additional responsibilities as HSE Manager in China for the East-to-West Pipeline Project.

Responsible for all aspects of production of 200 bpd oil and 36 mln m3 of gas- Value 100m+ business per annum, 194 offshore structures, 1200 wells, 2500 pipelines and 660 staff - Driven staff development, logistics support operations & activities.
