I am a chemical engineer and I always thought that my future would be to work in some industry. So, I went to do a postgraduate degree in industrial engineering. During that period, I took advantage of my free time and went on to do a scientific research scholarship, and that's when it all started. The research project was about the biological denitrification of groundwater contaminated with nitrates from Estarreja.In the meantime, a job opportunity arose in Peniche to be responsible for the Water Treatment Plant (WTP).And since then, it was 2001, my journey in this sector of water and sanitation, so special for me, really started. Of course, I had to take another postgraduate degree in sanitary engineering to give me the tools I needed for this challenge Continuing ... after working at SMAS in Peniche, as responsible for WTP and WWTP, I was at the Regulatory Entity for Water and Waste Services (ERSAR), in the water quality department. At ERSAR, I developed technical documentation to support the entities that manage the water supply systems, and supported the development of the water quality module on the Portal.I took an Entrepreneurship and Small Business Specialization, and got my Certificate for Training Provider.In 2011, I started another phase of my career, that of putting my knowledge at the service of others, providing consultancy, where there is a lot to give but also a lot to receive.In this new path, I specialized in risk assessment and risk management in water supply systems and wastewater sanitation systems. The most commonly called Water Safety Plans and Sanitation Safety Planning. I even belong to the restricted group of trainers from the World Health Organization for these 2 approaches.
