My career spans Forty plus years in the graphic arts industry with responsibilities ranging from Customer Service Manager to Vice President of the largest typographer, Harlan Typographic, in Cincinnati from 1979 to 1991. While employed with Harlan Type, my interests extended beyond typography and deeply into new emerging computer technologies.I left Harlan Typographic to take a position with Concept Imaging Group in Dayton. I was hired by Concept Imaging Group to bring the company forward from producing conventional color separations to new digital film production methods. I was responsible for staffing the new department, managing staff, adding 3 production shifts, specifying equipment and software and establishing processes and procedures. This shift from conventional analog color separations to digital film production led to the ensuing dramatic growth and success of the business.I am responsible for all IT functions and system maintenance at the School of Advertising Art and work directly with the students to resolve their hardware and software issues.I have an in-depth knowledge of the Macintosh Operating System and regularly troubleshoot both hardware and software issues. My skills include setting up and configuring both Tiger and Leopard OSX servers and establishing backup systems.Additionally, I have a working knowledge of the Windows platform. I am proficient with setting up and configuring both XP and Windows Vista.
