homestore + more is Ireland's leading homewares retailer. With 17 stores nationwide and further plans to expand, my role was varied and encompassed all elements of the marketing mix.I worked with newspapers and radio stations to maximise the advertising effectiveness of the monthly "When It’s Gone, It's Gone,"​ promotion. To further support the monthly promotion and other in-store offers, I designed all in-store POS using Adobe Illustrator. SMS bulk text messaging is a major part of homestore + more's marketing. I scripted the text message and ensured it's successful delivery to a database or over 300,000 monthly.In addition to the above I coordinated and analyses the results from a regular mystery shop to the stores. The findings were used to further the training of the colleagues. I was involved in content writing for the website and I also managed the stores Facebook presence.

The Rushe Group is a family run grocery business. Within the group there are 3 SuperValus and 1 Centra. My main role was to maximise the effectiveness of marketing activities.Social media was a large section of my focus, particularly Facebook.Working to a budget, I was given the brief to increase 'likes'​ and engagement. Constant monitoring of customer insights and targeting campaigns based on these findings, there was a significant increase in both; in addition to a massive increase in the 'reach' of the adverts. I was also responsible for the sponsorship of local events and deciding the most effective way to proceed with each sponsorship; keeping in mind that the main objective was to build and grow relationships with the customer.

Max Sparrow is a subsidiary of Coco Republic, an established furniture retailer. The company is newly established operating mainly online, but making a move to a showroom presence.I initially worked on the large backlog of customer orders, updating profiles and creating a database of orders and activities. I later liaised with international suppliers, coordinating bulk deliveries, updating customers on the status of their deliveries and organised for further delivery.

This role was concerned with aiding in the clearing of the backlog of invoices. I was part of a team that created purchase orders, received and verified invoices for payment.

I was initially taken on as an Accounts Assistant performing ad hoc duties as they were required. following the acquisition by Jacobs Engineering Group my role expanded to being solely responsible for the approval of employee expenses in addition to my pre-existing duties. This entailed inspecting expenses and approving or refusing them according to company and governmental policies. I was also largely involved with the implementation of new procedures as a result of the acquisition, by educating employees and contractors and consolidating company data investigating and resolving issues that arose.

I was taken on in the interim between the previous manager leaving and a permanent replacement being appointed. I controlled the large database of the company's stock data. This included the stock of 45 retail stores, the warehouses and storage units throughout Australia. Daily I communicated with store managers, updating the in-house system and identifying stock variances. I conducted detailed analysis to identify the causes for variances with these high value products. Before the end of the financial year, I oversaw the completion of store stocktakes. From the mass data that was compiled, I created detailed, understandable stock reports for the review of store and regional management and the Financial Controller. These reports were presented with the aid of pivot tables, and graphs to show the value of stock shrinkage and the cost to the company.As I was not a resident of Australia my role here was temporary. During my time here I created a process for the tracking of stock to be used cross departmentally, which led to a more accurate and efficient database. When the permanent manager was appointed, I created a detailed manual for the position and conducted training for two weeks.

I worked in the family business as a member of management, I was partly responsible for the successful day to day running of the business. This involved leadership, time management and organisational skills.Within this job I was increasingly given more responsibility.Some of my duties included increasing own brand sales, managing customer queries and liaising and negotiating with suppliers.
