As a neuroscience researcher, I am passionate about elucidating the interplay between one’s lived experiences and neurocircuitry, and the role that this interaction plays in the development and maintenance of psychiatric disorders. I also have a keen interest in using virtual reality to examine cognitive processes and how these differ in individuals with psychopathologies. I have coordinated research projects both independently and collaboratively and have experience working with human and animal subjects. My skillset includes a variety of analytical and laboratory techniques such as clinical interviewing, MRI data acquisition and quality checking, AcqKnowledge data acquisition and analysis, EyeLink eye tracking, Biosemi EEG data acquisition and analysis, OptiTrack data acquisition, SPSS, MATLAB, PCR/QPCR DNA analysis, and C-Fos labeling.
