I learned about Lean Six Sigma and using this philosophy to improve processes and organizations during my studies. It intrigued me that something that feels so intuitive could be such a powerful instrument for change. After my studies it guided me to my first job and teaching, implementing and coaching on this subject is at the core of my professional life.My career started as a consultant at the newly founded Operational Excellence practice at Capgemini Consulting and my very first working day was following the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course in France. In the years that followed I had the privilege to participate in varying Lean Six Sigma projects and was certified by ASQ as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. After 4 years I started working for Plus Delta, at that time still a small firm where I was the first Black Belt on the payroll. Two weeks after I joined the Plus Delta team a second Black Belt joined the organization. Together we were instrumental in creating a successful Lean Six Sigma practice. In 2012 I made another change in my career. I needed another change. As such I initially became a freelance consultant and later became one of the founding partners of Lean Six Sigma Groep, a network organization focused on making change happen. In 2013 I also started working on a life-long dream and ambition to combine my work as a consultant with academic research. As such I applied and was accepted as a PhD candidate at Nyenrode Business University. As a PhD candidate I focus on increasing the success of change processes.
